Eye Catching Glass Splashbacks
Glass Splashbacks really bring that modern and contemporary feel to a home. Having reflective properties they have the ability to open up a space.
At Profile Glass we toughen ALL of our splashbacks as this strengthens the glass up to five times stronger than standard glass, to ensure you have the best quality and most durable glass installed.
Cleaned with ease, with no maintenance required (no re-painting or re-grouting of tiles), splashbacks are also extremely hygienic surfaces. As glass does not degrade with age, our splashbacks will look as good in the future as the day they were installed. As most of the work in producing your splashbacks are within the manufacturing process, the transformation within your home only takes a matter of hours. This means minimal inconvenience to yourself where the alternative is to have a work person in your home for days tiling/painting.
Where Our Glass Splashbacks Can Be Used
Glass splashbacks are often only considered for their significant practicality in kitchen areas but there are many other locations, domestic and commercial, where the beneficial properties of glass excels. Not only are our splashbacks suitable for kitchens, domestic and commercial, they can also be used to provide the timeless finishing touch to bathrooms (including shower walls), cloakrooms, dressing rooms, utility and boot rooms, W.C’s., high traffic areas and any other area of your choice, floor to ceiling if required.
With its low maintenance, easy to clean surface it is ideal for high traffic areas such as entrances, corridors and staircases where daily life can take its inevitable toll. Once installed on walls the need to repair and redecorate is eliminated. Toughened glass is incredibly durable and very resistant to impact which is why, apart from its aesthetically pleasing and timeless appeal, it is favoured by architects and designers worldwide.
What choices of Glass Splashbacks are available?
There is no such thing as a standard colour. Our specialist coating system can be colour matched against any RAL Colour, British Standard, NCS or we can match to any main stream paint colour e.g. Farrow & Ball, Dulux, Little Green Paint Company. In addition, if you are looking to match the colour of your kitchen cupboards or favourite fabric we can custom colour match.
Any of our colours can be produced with the addition of a sparkle effect. The sparkles are available in various colours and intensities.
With the use of the latest CNC technology we can produce any shape to suit your exacting requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are glass splashbacks safe to use behind a hob?
Glass splashbacks are only suitable behind a hob if the glass has been toughened, this ensures they are resistant to cracking from heat exposure.
Are your glass splashbacks heat resistant?
As all of our glass splashbacks that we produce are toughened they are all resistant to heat.
What is the maximum length of a kitchen splashback?
The maximum length of our splashbacks as a single piece is 3000mm (300cm). Anything over this size will require a join.
What is the maximum height a splashback can be?
The tallest a splashback can be is 1450mm (145cm), anything over this will require a join.
The area above my hob is higher than the cupboards either side. How will this be made?
This is very common and will be processed as what we call a ‘T-piece’ (what essentially looks like the letter ‘T’ upside down). Wherever possible, we will try and manufacture this area as one piece to achieve a seamless finish. In fact, we always try to produce any splashbacks with the minimal amount of joins possible.
How close to the edge can the sockets on a splashback be?
Sockets should be positioned no closer than 30mm to the edge of the splashback.
How close together can the sockets be if there is more than one on the wall where the splashback is being fitted?
Ideally the gap between each socket should be a minimum of 20mm.
How do I measure for a kitchen splashback?
We have an online measuring guide which will help you with this, which is more than adequate in order to provide you with a guide price. If, however you wish to measure so you can install yourself, we always recommend providing us with a rigid template. This will ensure that the next possible fit.
Can I order custom image printed splashbacks and how does it work?
We can have a splashback digitally printed with an image of your choice. We always suggest choosing an image from the website ‘shutterstock’ and choosing the highest resolution possible to ensure a good quality print. We can use your own image but we would need to assess it first as this needs to be a high resolution.
