Glass splashbacks are only suitable behind a hob if the glass has been toughened, this ensures they are resistant to cracking from heat exposure.
As all of our glass splashbacks that we produce are toughened they are all resistant to heat.
The maximum length of our splashbacks as a single piece is 3000mm (300cm). Anything over this size will require a join.
The tallest a splashback can be is 1450mm (145cm), anything over this will require a join.
This is very common and will be processed as what we call a ‘T-piece’ (what essentially looks like the letter ‘T’ upside down). Wherever possible, we will try and manufacture this area as one piece to achieve a seamless finish. In fact, we always try to produce any splashbacks with the minimal amount of joins possible.
Sockets should be positioned no closer than 30mm to the edge of the splashback.
Ideally the gap between each socket should be a minimum of 20mm.
We have an online measuring guide which will help you with this, which is more than adequate in order to provide you with a guide price. If, however you wish to measure so you can install yourself, we always recommend providing us with a rigid template. This will ensure that the next possible fit.
We can have a splashback digitally printed with an image of your choice. We always suggest choosing an image from the website ‘shutterstock’ and choosing the highest resolution possible to ensure a good quality print. We can use your own image but we would need to assess it first as this needs to be a high resolution.
