Absolutely! This is very often the biggest transformation in a staircase we see, as the solid panels are replaced with a light and reflective material that really opens up the space. Depending upon the original properties of the staircase there may be some refurbishment works to be completed but we will work with you to ensure a smooth and swift completion.
Yes, this is the most common staircase refurbishment we undertake. Spindles can be removed and replaced with glass that can be fixed by either being embedded into the the base and handrail or by use of brackets.
No, although many of our clients prefer the handrail option for comfort purposes, if a handrail is not required, the use of toughened laminated glass provides the strength and safety to eliminate the requirement for a handrail.
The type of glass used for your staircase installation will be dependant upon the design chosen. For installations with a handrail we generally advise 8mm or 10mm toughened glass, with 8mm being the most popular. For installations that will not have a handrail then 17.52mm toughened laminated is the most common choice.
Yes, we ensure all installations meet UK building regulations. Should you be a self-install we will help to advise you on this.
No, the existing staircase can be refurbished and altered to accommodate glass panels without the requirement for a full replacement.
Yes, besides stainless steel the fittings are available in a range of various metal finishes e.g. brushed brass, nickel, chrome, etc and we can also powder coat the fittings to any colour on the RAL chart.

Once you have chosen your glass type and fittings, generally, for a standard clamp fixed glass panels, for supply only the lead time is 7 working days. For installation by ourselves then the lead time is 10 working days. For a stepped rake design or fittings that require powder coating, the lead time would be longer than this but we will advise you at point of order. Installation time is dependant upon each individual project and again will be advised at enquiry/order stage.
